Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 2026
1. Purpose
OKtoMeet exists so business travelers can meet in person, build trust, and grow their networks. These guidelines set expectations for how we treat each other—online and offline.
2. Be professional
Interact as you would with colleagues and clients: clear communication, reasonable boundaries, and good faith. Networking here is about business relationships—not spam, scams, or pressure tactics.
3. Be authentic
Use accurate information on your profile. Don’t impersonate others or misrepresent your employer, role, or intentions. Where we offer verification (such as LinkedIn-related flows), use them honestly.
4. Respect people
We do not tolerate:
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination.
- Unwanted sexual attention or romantic pressure in a professional context.
- Threats, doxxing, or coordinated abuse.
5. Keep it useful
Share content and messages that help others understand who you are professionally. Avoid irrelevant bulk messages, misleading links, or attempts to harvest data or manipulate the network.
6. Events and meetups
When you organize or promote events, describe them accurately. Attendees should know what to expect. Respect venue rules and local laws.
7. Safety
In-person meetings carry ordinary social risks. Read our Safety page for practical advice on meeting in public, setting boundaries, and reporting problems.
8. Enforcement
We may warn, restrict, or remove accounts that break these guidelines or our Terms of Service. Serious or repeated violations may result in a permanent ban. We aim to be fair and proportionate, but we can’t promise a particular outcome for every case.
9. Feedback
The product is in beta. If guidelines feel unclear or something harmful slips through, tell us via feedback so we can improve.
